Photoshoot: je cultive les couleurs de ma vie
Lately I have noticed a reoccuring pattern in the way that I select the colors surrounding my living spaces and, to my surprise, came to the conclusion that I do the same in the colors and patterns I choose to wear, daily. The primary colors are the most used in my (limited) wardrobe, for I am a minimalist at heart as well as in reality.
I select a careful number of colors to incorporate into my life. So, it seems safe to say that my bathing room tends to be more serene with palettes of green; my boudoir, with an even calmer atmosphere in shades of white and cream; and the common areas, mainly the kitchen, have a more dynamic sphere in yellows with a pop of red.
As to my presonal wardrobe choice, I stick to the basics for a classic, feminine silhouette coordinated with a touch of my ethnic heritage: the Caribbean breeze.
Whether it be for my apartment or bedroom closet, I always add a drop of nature in the forms of flowers-in my naturally tight-curly hair & silk scarves) or green plants-in bathroom, living room & kitchen- to keep me grounded.
All in all, let's just say that it is a real treat to get ready in the morning with a fresh scent of a florishing Hyacinth on the sink and bamboo plants on the steps to water everyday. Pure joy!
