i eagerly await the first day of each fall to change the window drapes into a darker shade,
light deep-hued candles in strategic points in the apartment and learn to make something new. 

last year, i taught myself- with the help of tutorial videos online- how to make an American style chestnut bundt cake
and the famous French caramelised apple pie, une tarte Tatin.

this season, i've started to master the art of making bread at home
and
now, i am making my personal version of this quintessential American (mid-day) snack:
granola clusters.
