# 108 : a woman's favourite things…

i've discovered the literary works of Marcel Proust a decade ago. now, i always find an occasion to showcase my original recipes for family and friends.

there is one idiomatic expression that makes me appreciate the French way of cooking and entertaining at home even more: mettre les petits plats dans les grands.  

yes, i make a big deal out of simple and savoury cooking like this poire pochée à la vanille sur un lit de ganache au chocolate noir du Cap-Haitien (Haiti).

and, most importantly, i can only help but surround myself with meaningful, sentimental and beautifully design serving ware, dishes, linens and such…
