NYC, New York: les francophones y sont 24h/24!

Klee, Picasso, Rodin, Monet, Manet, Matisse...to name a few of the well recognized artists that Paul and I encounted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City during our seven-day-trip July vacation. Of course, amongst those classic works I stopped by the new exhibits of the MET and one in particular based upon timeless fashion: The Model as Muse-a topic that has always intrigued my senses. The photographs adequately pitched the right story for each scene, the models worth celebrating, the clothing...oh the style ooozing of elegance simply surpasses time. In the meantime, I could not help but noticing and hearing a handful of French-speaking patrons of the art in every corner of each museum where Paul and I spent hours upon hours pouring over (almost) every piece of art (modern and classic) along with our (well expected) critique for each and all and in sharing our preferences. All in all, after visiting both sides of the family and friends in Manhattan and Brooklyn, we were satisfied with our stay in the Big Apple-but ready to move on. The final verdict: The July 2009 roadtrip was worth every sunburn and feet torture!
