Le mémoire d'un parfum!

Whether stored away inside an armoire drawer or skillfully displayed on a make up table, your fragrance bottle takes you back to as far as you can recall using it. One develops a particular tolerance to certain scents in its variable concentration forms-eau de toilette or eau de parfum or parfum. Althought women tend to experiment with trendy-new parfums, there is still THE one that we hold dear. Perhaps it reminds you of your favorite beauty-movie icon as a youth or the subtle trail of pleasing scent your mother or aunt left behind on their way out to a special event-while you were secretly dreaming that one day it will be you leaving your signature mark. The memory of the all-girl-catholic high school I attended will remain vivid in my mind due to my discovery of perfumes that we- as young women forging a unique personality- liked to exchange and discuss amongst ourselves during our free time. Some of my classmates and friends would bring (samples of) bottled perfumes that were given to them or that they had bought. Needless to say that in the sea of perfumes to choose from, one caught my special attention, and that I use to this day: Dior Addict. "Une femme sans parfum est une femme sans avenir..."-G. Chanel
