# 15: plats créoles.vernis rouge.spring cleaning

° yesterday evening, we were four girlfriends to have some tea and cake at the Salon de Thé Grand'Rue. thanks to Aurore for being my on-the-spot photographer! ° i have started a small collection of fabric scraps. and this bold green polka dot cotton Liberty fabric makes me happy :-) ° every woman has her custom night and day beauty regimen in place and rarely deviates from it. as for mine, i automatically moisturize my elbows, knees and lips with pure shea butter and argane oil at night; and have the reflex to drink a big glass of lemon water once out of bed in the morning. ° i have been on a testing mode lately and ventured out to try this Color So Hot It Burns O.P.I red nail polish... fierce!!! ° every now and then, i go to the local vintage-thrift store to see their new acquisition. this time around, i could not resist when i set my eyes on this Blue- Tiffany-like teapot set with a gold rim. this colour to me, epitomizes the arrival of spring and revival of the soul on a quick glimpse! ° for the last three weeks... scratch that and let's say the last four weeks, we've managed to squeeze in at least one night out en tete-à-tete due to our demanding schedules. we tested one of the créole restaurants located on the Grand'Rue. ° by next week i will complete this red summer linen skirt which would have taken me 16 hours from start to finish. ah! the new-found passion for sewing is time consuming, in deed. but worth every minute of it. as you can tell, i have a penchant for the colour red and linen ;-) ° last weekend we finally got around to do the ritual of spring cleaning in the entire apartment- granted it was only 6 rooms total, but it required the same effort and tedious work in order to pass the "white glove check" inspection. afterwards, i lit up the place with a Yankee-Candle Ocean Blossom scented oil that was crisp and fresh.

That skirt is beautiful! :) I love your sense of style, it is so well-defined and simple but elegant nonetheless. :)
